For decades the WANZIE team has proudly and fairly paid everyone connected with their innovative, often outrageous productions, from MONORAIL INFERNO to the LADIES OF EOLA HEIGHTS trilogy and the record-breaking THE LION QUEEN, DRAGNESS OF GOD, CAROLINA MOON, LIZZIE The Musical and many other wholly original locally-conceived and locally-produced shows. No other company produces more original, entertaining and thought provoking shows (with all persons involved well paid) as done WANZIE PRESENTS. The company also scouts the original works of others and, in conjunction with the Footlight Theater, plays a significant role in presenting works by other local artists, providing a rent-free theater, along with marketing, promotional, and ticketing assistance, with no up-front financial risk to the artists. WANZIE PRESENTS truly makes it possible for Orlando's home-town best-of-the best to give extended life to their productions. In addition to creating hysterical original comedies such as TWO MEN TRAPED IN WOMEN'S BODIES and A TRAILER TRASH CHRISTMAS the team has also tended to the dramatic with the Wanzie original IN ClOSE QUATERS among others. Most recently WANZIE PRESENTS co-produced WHEN PIGS FLY (With D Squared Productions) at Orlando Fringe 2008 as well as many individual Cabaret Artists at the Footlight Lounge including Andrea Vox, Becky Fisher, Mark Barrateli, and Anthony Johnson. Long time team members have included Director Kenny Howard, Composer Rich Charron, Actors DOUG Ba'aser. Tommy Wooten, Frank McClain and Miss Sammy along with Make-up artist Mike Nesheim, Costume designer Marcy Singhaus and gal friday Catherine Goodison. WANZIE PRESENTS also benefits greatly from repeat, loyal title sponsors; The Parliament House, The Closing Agent, 903 Mills Market, Scott Laurent Collection and REALTOR David (also a Wanzie Presents Team Member/Actor/and now - Dancer) Dorman. WANZIE audiences "Expect the Unexpected" and WANZIE PRESENTS delivers just that. Always pushing the envelope of Orlando theater, and always entertaining.
