We're a furniture company that's head over heels in love with contemporary design and superb quality. Scan Design isn't a giant company, or a division of a global corporation, and you won't find us at every mall and shopping center, nor will we stuff your mailbox with a fat catalog every month. But come in to one of our nine spacious showrooms throughout Florida and you'll see that when it comes to passion for contemporary furniture, our enthusiasm can't be beat. We literally search the world to bring you the very best in selection, style and quality, then back it with unmatched customer service and design advice.
The way we see it, life's too short for dull, boring furniture.
Don't you agree?
"Contemporary furniture (is) functional, comfortable, and easy to live with. More and more people around the world understand that simplicity and under-statement is often more sophisticated than heavy ornamentation. We can't agree more!
The terms "less is more" and "form follows function" are as true today as when they were first used to characterize the revolutionary designs by the 'old masters' from the Bauhaus School of Design in the 1920's. The works of L.M. Van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Le Corbusier and later Arne Jacobson, Charles Eames, E. Saarinen, just to mention a few, are the foundation from which evolved contemporary design as we know it today.
We carry these designs of the "Old Masters' and have added many new options as well. As with the classics, we believe well designed furniture is best appreciated in the real world and would like to invite you to experience the quality design we have been known for for over 37 years. Each of our nine store locations is a unique refection of our appreciation for contemporary design, and we hope that you will visit us to see for yourself.
